Project Summary: This study aims to explore the current service delivery of trauma, considering the quality and risks of trauma care across North Wales, with a view to identifying whether there is a need for a specialised trauma outreach service. We will use a mixed methods approach, both quantative and qualitative. We will interogate various databases within the trust and other trauma specific databases to establish accurate numbers and pathways of care from site of incident to final discharge. A sample of patients journeys will be costed. We will interview key staff members of the accident and emergency services to consider their views of the ecisting service and suggestions for improvement.
