Bangor University to launch new Social Value Hub

On Tuesday 11 June at Bangor University’s Reichel Conference Centre, the Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation and the School of Health Sciences will launch a new Social Value Hub.

The launch of the Social Value Hub comes in response to a growing demand for accountability in public and third sector organisations, and the need for funded programmes to demonstrate ‘evidence of social impact’.

The event will outline the upcoming work of the Social Value Hub and launch a partnership with BCUHB’s ‘Well North Wales’ project.

Speakers include:

  • Ben Carpenter (CEO, Social Value UK)
  • Teresa Owen (Executive Director of Public Health, BCUHB)
  • Eleri Lloyd (Social Value Manager, Mantell Gwynedd)
  • Glynne Roberts (Programme Director, Well North Wales)

The public is welcome to attend.

The Hub’s purpose is to offer support and training to local and regional organisations, enabling them to measure and communicate the positive changes they create in their communities. The Hub provides organisations with a framework for measuring change in ways that are relevant to their stakeholders.

Using qualitative, quantitative and financial methods, the Hub produces robust social value analysis that tells the story of how change is created for the people who benefit from activities and programmes delivered by organisations.
