Dr Bethany Anthony

Overview
Dr Bethany Fern Anthony is a Research Officer at the Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation (CHEME). Her PhD (funded by Health and Care Research Wales) explored the provision of general medical services by non-medical health professionals and allied health professionals. Bethany currently works on a number of difference research projects including ThinkCancer!, Rare Dementia Support and iSUPPORT. Bethany has a 1st Class BSc (Hons) in Sport, Health and Physical Education and an MSc (with Distinction) in Exercise Rehabilitation. During her MSc, funded by a Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships (KESS), she assessed aerobic fitness and cardiovascular risk among older patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

- (P17-03: Economic cost of Dementia) An online pre-death grief and loss programme for carers of people living with a rare dementia: a micro-costing analysis of ‘The Road Less Travelled’
This is first costing of an online pre-death grief and loss programme for carers of people living with a rare dementia. These initial assessments of costs provide a base-case for future costing analyses and full economic analysis which can assess both the cost and benefits to society from supporting people living with rare dementias and their carers.
